Check your card rate

Your processor's published price, written out for your month.

Your processor and three figures from last month's statement. The page writes the published price out for a month and a year. A person reads your statement against it, and that is the reply. Nothing leaves this page until you send it.

The name on the statement, and the plan if you know it. Bought through a bank or a sales agent? Choose “A bank, an ISO, or a processor not listed”.

Optional. The benchmark depends on the kind of business, so it goes into the email with your figures.

Total card sales for the month. Statements call it gross volume, amount submitted or net sales.

Average card sale. Sets how much the per-transaction cents cost you. Blank uses $40.

The figure that matters most. The line that says total fees, total charges or total deductions. It goes in the email with the rest, and it is what the reply is about. Leave it blank if the statement is not to hand.

Every flat-rate processor states a percentage and a fee per transaction. Together with your average ticket, that fixes what a month should cost, and what a year comes to. Your statement says what it did cost. When those disagree, the difference is on the statement somewhere, and it has a name.

Nothing you type leaves this page: it cannot make a network request, and the figures go only when you send them from your own email.

For any business that takes cards in person. Published rates as of October 2026 are listed, with sources, on the Rate Index.
